staff member confronted during hawthorn east armed robbery.

A staff member was confronted by four alleged offenders during an armed robbery at The Tower Hotel on Burwood Road, Hawthorn East, in the early hours of 10 September 2026. According to police, the four offenders attended the gaming venue at about 1.20am, allegedly armed with knives.


They confronted the staff member and demanded money before allegedly taking cash and fleeing the premises. The staff member was not physically injured during the incident.
