hoppers crossing sexual assault investigation.

Detectives from the Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit have arrested a man following two alleged sexual assaults in Hoppers Crossing.

Police allege a woman was sexually assaulted after a man forced entry into her home on Whitsunday Drive before a second woman was allegedly assaulted near a primary school on Langridge Street the following morning. Detectives are investigating whether the incidents are linked and continue to appeal for witnesses and CCTV footage.

Sexual offences can have lasting impacts on victims of crime, often affecting emotional wellbeing, personal safety and confidence long after the incident has occurred.

In Victoria, eligible victims may be able to apply for assistance through the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) to help recovery from violent crimes. Support can include counselling costs, medical costs and other recovery-related assistance.

Sending an enquiry can help you to understand the application process and the support that may be available to you.
