werribee aggravated burglary investigation.

Police are investigating an aggravated burglary in Werribee after offenders allegedly forced entry into a residential property during the early hours of the morning while residents were home.

Authorities allege the offenders confronted occupants inside the property before fleeing the scene. While no serious physical injuries were reported, the incident has caused significant distress for those involved.

Home invasions and aggravated burglaries can leave long-term emotional impacts on victims of crime, particularly where individuals feel their personal safety has been threatened inside their own home.

Many victims experience anxiety, sleep disruption and ongoing fear following violent residential incidents, even where physical harm is avoided. In Victoria, the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) may assist eligible victims with counselling, psychological treatment and other recovery-related support following violent crime.

Submitting an enquiry can help affected individuals better understand what assistance may be available and the next steps involved in an application.
