machete stabbing in mickleham park.

Police are currently investigating after a 17-year-old boy was stabbed with a machete in a Mickleham park. The incident, which took place in front of young children, has left the teenager with serious injuries, as officers search for the offenders believed to be responsible. Punches were thrown in the scuffle before the boy was stabbed several times with a machete.

Machete attacks are traumatic and can have lasting physical and psychological impacts. Victims of crime in Victoria may be eligible to apply for financial assistance through the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) to help cover costs such as medical treatment, counselling and other recovery-related expenses.

If you or a loved one has been affected by machete crime or another violent offence, making an enquiry will clarify your eligibility and entitlements under the Scheme.
