innocent uber driver assaulted in point cook.

A 44-year-old Uber driver in Point Cook was violently beaten, stabbed, and kicked by two masked thugs outside his home late one evening. The Uber driver was chased through the street and tripped and fell onto the nature strip. Following this, he was kicked, beaten and stabbed, before the offenders ran into a waiting car, and the victim returned to his home bloodied and seriously injured.

Violent assaults like this can result in hospitalisations, emotional trauma, and costly medical bills. In Victoria, victims of crime may be able to apply for financial assistance under the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) to help with counselling, medical costs and other related expenses arising from the offence.

If you or someone affected by a violent crime needs guidance on how to access this support, submitting an enquiry can help you understand the process and next steps.
