footscray assault leaves man with life-threatening injuries.




Violent stabbing in Footscray, Melbourne’s inner west, has left a 24-year-old man fighting for his life. The attack occurred around 9:20 pm on Friday, 21 February 2025, on Albert Street, when the victim was allegedly assaulted by a group of offenders.

Emergency services rushed the man to Royal Melbourne Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains in critical condition. Police have established a crime scene and are treating the incident as a serious example of street violence and knife crime in Melbourne. Investigators are working to determine whether the offenders were known to the victim.
