Two people were asleep inside their Hoppers Crossing home when several offenders allegedly forced their way into the property, armed with machetes.
One of the 30-year-old victims was allegedly punched several times in the head while the offenders demanded money. Although the man was not seriously injured, the experience of being assaulted inside his own home will likely have consequences beyond any physical injuries. The offenders allegedly stole two mobile phones and damaged a vehicle before leaving. Police believe the same group had attended the property the previous day and knocked on the door.
