Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives are continuing to investigate a serious aggravated home invasion in Keilor Downs, with police releasing CCTV and images of two men who may be able to assist with the investigation.
The incident occurred at a home on Denbigh Court at approximately 2am on 20 April 2026. Police allege four masked offenders, believed to be armed with firearms and a sledgehammer, forced their way into the property and confined three occupants to a room. The victims, a 62-year-old man, a 54-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl, were covered with blankets while the offenders allegedly stole property and threatened them with a firearm, including threats to return if a large sum of money was not paid.
The offenders remained inside the property for approximately two hours before fleeing. While none of the three occupants sustained physical injuries, an aggravated home invasion involving weapons and threats can have significant and lasting psychological consequences for victims of crime.
In Victoria, eligible victims of violent crime may be able to apply for assistance through the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS). Depending on the circumstances, assistance may be available for counselling, psychological treatment and other expenses associated with recovery.
