Police are investigating an alleged assault involving a teenager at a scouts event in regional Victoria. The young victim says he was verbally abused and then punched in the face three times. While the victim was able to break away after being punched, he has experienced significant physical harm and deep emotional trauma.

 

Victims of crime in Victoria may be eligible to apply for assistance under the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) to help cover counselling, medical expenses, and other recovery-related needs. For many victims, financial assistance can be pivotal in ensuring that they receive the correct treatment for physical and mental trauma arising from the violent actions of offenders.
