A violent aggravated carjacking in Hampton Park has resulted in the arrest of three teenagers following a police pursuit through Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs. Police allege the offenders threatened a motorist with a knife before stealing the vehicle – an aggravated car jacking. The victims included a 76-year-old man and two women aged 51 and 77.

Although the victims were not physically injured, the incident involved the use of a weapon and posed a serious threat to their safety. The accused were apprehended in Pakenham and are facing multiple criminal charges.

Victims of armed robbery and carjacking may apply for financial assistance through FAS, which can cover counselling, medical expenses, and other costs arising from the trauma of a violent offence.
