two boys charged after brutal geelong assault.

Geelong police have charged two 14-year-old boys following an affray on Wednesday, 1 April. Police allege a boy was assaulted by a group of male teens around 5.30pm. Several youths reportedly fled prior to police arrival, while two boys remained at the scene and were later charged with affray, riotous behaviour, and using threatening words in a public place. They have been bailed to appear before the children’s court.

No serious injuries were reported during the incident, but public assaults like this can cause significant emotional stress for victims, witnesses, and their families.

In Victoria, victims of crime may be eligible to apply for financial support through the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS). The scheme can assist with counselling, medical treatment, and other recovery-related expenses.

Sending an enquiry can help victims or their families understand the support available and the process for making an FAS application, providing practical guidance in the aftermath of violent incidents.
