trio charged after armed robbery in berwick.

Detectives from the Casey Crime Investigation Unit have charged three men following a series of alleged incidents across Melbourne last month, including an armed robbery at a jewellery store in Berwick. Police allege that three masked male offenders, armed with hammers and bats, entered a jewellery store on High Street in Berwick at approximately 12:00pm. During the incident, the offenders allegedly assaulted the shopkeeper, smashed glass display cabinets and stole jewellery. The shopkeeper was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Following extensive investigations, police arrested three men earlier this month in connection with the incidents.

Armed robberies can have a significant impact on victims, particularly retail workers who may experience physical injury or psychological distress following a violent confrontation. In Victoria, victims of crime may be eligible to apply for financial support through the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), which can assist with counselling, medical expenses and other recovery-related costs. If you have been affected by a violent incident such as an armed robbery, sending an enquiry can help you better understand the support that may be available.
