Victoria Police have charged a 13-year-old girl with 52 offences following a series of incidents targeting members of Melbourne’s Jewish community. Over multiple days, the girl allegedly drove stolen vehicles in Hampton, Ripponlea, Caulfield, and Brighton, while passengers shouted antisemitic remarks and threw objects at pedestrians. In Ripponlea, the vehicle was reportedly swerved towards a group crossing the road.

The offences also include an alleged hit-and-run in Brighton, where a 45-year-old cyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and an e-scooter collision in Elwood. Two other teenage females were also arrested and charged with related theft offences. The 13-year-old has been remanded to appear in children’s court.
