Detectives from the Casey Crime Investigation Unit have charged a 28‑year-old man with more than 15 offences following a series of thefts and aggravated burglaries across Melbourne’s south‑east suburbs, including Doveton, Highett, Cheltenham, and Glen Waverley.

 

Police allege the man attended multiple properties between January and March. On 31 March, officers attended an address in Cranbourne East as part of the investigation. The man barricaded himself inside the property and was subsequently arrested with the assistance of the Critical Incident Response Team. He faces charges including aggravated burglary with a firearm, theft of motor vehicles, criminal damage, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, and multiple bail and driving offences.
