assault and robbery of tourist at st kilda pier

A 34-year-old Norwegian tourist was violently assaulted and robbed at St Kilda Pier in broad daylight last week. The attack involved a group of up to eight youths who chased and repeatedly struck the victim, resulting in a broken arm and facial injuries. During the attack, the tourist’s phone was stolen and reportedly thrown into the water.

One suspect has been charged with multiple offences including assault, intentional injury, and robbery. Police continue to seek additional suspects and have released composite images to aid public identification.
