continual search for double stabbing offender.
Police are continuing to search for a man following two alleged stabbing incidents in Melbourne's north and south-east on the same morning.
Investigators allege a silver Honda CRV deliberately crashed into a residential property on Exner Street in Dandenong North shortly after 10.15am. Police were told the driver exited the vehicle and stabbed a 34-year-old woman who was known to him. She was treated by paramedics at the scene before being transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Earlier that morning, police allege the same offender stabbed a 40-year-old man at a property on Bradman Terrace in Epping. The man was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities believe both incidents were targeted and that the parties involved were known to one another. Investigations remain ongoing as police continue their search for the alleged offender.
Incidents involving targeted violence can have significant and lasting impacts on victims of crime, particularly where individuals are attacked in locations where they would ordinarily feel safe, such as their home.
If you have been affected by a violent crime, sending an enquiry can help you better understand the support available through the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) and whether you may be eligible to make an application.
