A 51-year-old man remains in critical condition following an alleged assault at a bus stop in Dandenong, with police charging a man in connection with the incident.
Police allege the assault occurred at a bus stop on Langhorne Street at approximately 11am on Tuesday 18 August 2026. It is alleged the victim was kicked multiple times before the alleged offender left the area and later returned, where police allege the assault continued. The 51-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains in a critical condition. Police arrested a 35-year-old man nearby. He has been charged with 10 offences, including intentionally causing serious injury with gross violence, intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing injury and affray. He has been remanded to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates' Court.
